The more intense your physical activity is, the more calories you’ll burn, thus avoiding weight gain. If you feel you don’t have time to squeeze in a workout routine, you can try doing those daily activities that demand the most effort from you. For example, take the stairs instead of the elevator.
2. It helps you stay clear of diseases
Staying active is a great way to fend off many diseases, like cardiac conditions and high blood pressure, among others.
Working out increases your HDL cholesterol levels which, in turn, prevents poor blood flow, reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, cancer and depression.
3. It keeps your spirits up
One hour at the gym or a 30-minute power walk can help you stay a happy camper. When doing exercise, several chemicals are released in your brain, which could make you feel more relaxed and happy. Besides, exercise makes you feel at ease with your body, boosting your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Tired of household chores? Physical activity can improve your muscular strength and your stamina, since it allows your tissues to absorb oxygen and nutrients, leading your heart and lungs to work more efficiently.

Keep dozing off just about anywhere? Still struggling to sleep a wink at night? Regular physical activity can help you sleep better; just don’t work out shortly before going to bed, since you may feel infused with energy and stimulated.
