To Reconstitute: Pure enough water, stock, half water/half balsamic vinegar solution, or wine to cover mushrooms. Soak for 30 minutes. Strain through a coffee filter. (The liquid in which dried mushrooms are soaked is flavor intense and can be used). Thoroughly rinse, dry and slice mushrooms.
