You Will Need: Cherries: 1 can (20-24 oz) cherry pie/fruit filling or canned cherries or fresh (if using fresh or frozen (thaw & drain) fruit, coat cooking dish with butter or cooking spray and sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar over fruit to sweeten) cherries (1 1/2 lbs); Butter/Margarine: 4 tablespoons or 1/2 stick melted. Oven: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C - Gas Mark 5). 2. Spread cherry pie/fruit filling or canned cherries (drained) or fresh (If using fresh or frozen [thaw & drain] fruit, coat cooking dish with butter or cooking spray and sprinkle 1 tablespoon (15 g) of sugar over fruit to sweeten) pitted cherries (3 cups) into an 8 or 9 inch baking dish. 3. Combine melted butter with mix until crumbly. Sprinkle mixture evenly over cherries. 4. Bake 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Serve warm. If desired, top with ice cream or whipped cream. Microwave: 1. Using an 8 or 9 inch microwave-safe dish, follow steps 2 and 3 above. 2. Microwave, uncovered on high 6-8 minutes or until bubbly. Serve warm. Use any of the following in place of cherries: Apples, pears, peaches, rhubarb or apricots, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries or strawberries, pineapple chunks, fruit cocktail or any other fruit.
