Basic Cooking: 1. Using the recipe chart on this package, add Canoe Freshly Roasted Wild Rice and water or broth to a heavy saucepan and bring to a hard boil. 2. Reduce heat, cover tightly and boil gently for 30 minutes. 3. Shut off heat, let stand on burner for 25-30 minutes until the Canoe Freshly Roasted Wild Rice reaches desired texture. Drain. Note: For a firmer, nuttier texture, decrease cooking time. For a softer, more tender rice, increase cooking time.
