1. Preheat cooking oil to 375 degrees F. For pan frying, place 1 inch oil in a 3+ inch pan. 2. Ready onion for use. For best results, use a large sweet Vidalia onion, cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices. Separate slices into individual rings. 3. Prepare blending 1 cup Fry Krisp Onion Ring Mix with 3/4 cup water. Whisk in water until a smooth batter is obtained. For best results use a flat bottom bowl. For smaller size batches use four parts mix with three parts water. Set 2-3 minutes. 4. Place separated rings into batter. Remove individual rings with a long fork or other utensil. Allow excess batter to fall for 4 seconds, then place into preheated oil. 5. Cook for about 2 minutes on each side in pan, or in a deep fryer for about 2.5 minutes. 6. Remove rings from oil, drain on paper towel and serve when cooled to mouth ready temperature.
