1 Serving: 1/2 cup groats; 1 cup water; dash salt (optional). 2 Servings: 1 cup groats; 2 cups water; 1/8 tsp salt (optional). Stove Top: 1. On the stovetop bring water to a rolling boil. 2. Add groats and salt (if using), return to a boil. 3. Cover and reduce to simmer for 30-40 minutes. 4. Uncover and simmer an additional 10-15 minutes stirring occasionally until desired consistency. Bonus: You can also use the brown rice setting on a rice cooker.
