Cooking Measurement Chart: Rice: 1/2 cup, water/broth: 1-1/2 cup, yield: 2 cups, servings (1 cup cooked): 2; Rice: entire package, water/broth: 3-3/4 cups, yield: 5 cups, servings (1 cup cooked): 5. Cooking on the Stove: 1. In medium saucepan bring liquid, to boil. 2. Stir in wild rice, reduce heat and cover simmer 55 minutes (Add tub margarine, salt, butter, or oil, if desired). 3. Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Cooking in the Microwave (It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate): 1. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish combine 1 cup wild rice and 2-1/2 cups hot water (Add tub margarine, salt, butter, or oil, if desired). 2. Cover and microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 30-35 minutes. Let stand for 10-15 minutes. Serve.
