Thinly slice roasted or broiled beef, sandwich in toasted french hard rolls and serve with a heated bowl of Johnny’s au jus sauce. Add to gravy, sauces, stews, casseroles and soups for a robust beefy flavor. For a robust beefy flavor in all your cooking, use Johnny’s all purpose au jus as you would soy or worcestershire sauce. Pour over roast and vegetables before cooking. Yield one (1) cup; 1 tbsp powdered au jus mix; one (1) cup water. Yield one (1) qt; 1-1/3 oz (4 tbsp / 1/4 cup); one (1) qt water. Yield four (4) qts; 5-1/3 oz (16 tbsp / 1 cup) powdered au jus mix; four (4) qts water. The above are recommended usage levels. Blend powdered au jus mix and water together. Bring to boil, simmer at greater than 160 degrees F for 10 minutes and serve. Serve or hold on low heat, covered. Stir before each serving. Powdered au jus may be increased or decreased slightly to suit taste.
