1. Measure 250 ml (1 cup) of Finest Indian Basmati Rice. 2. Clean the rice in water and then drain. 3. Then soak the rice in a saucepan for 10 minutes in 500 ml (2 cups) of water. 4. Add salt, with butter or margarine or olive oil. 5. Bring to boil, stirring once or twice. 6. Cover, reduce heat to low & let it simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed. 7. Do not remove lid while cooking. 8. Remove from heat, let stand covered for about 5 minutes. 9. Fluff with a fork and serve. The amount of water required to cook Finest Indian Basmati Rice may vary depending on the age of the rice and on its time of soaking.
