Remove from heat and allow to stand for 5 minutes. 4. Fluff gently with a fork before serving. Microwave: Combine water or broth, margarine or butter (if butter or meat is used, recipe is not pareve) in a microwaveable dish. 2. Microwave on high for 4 to 5 minutes. 3. Stir in couscous mix. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. 4. Fluff gently with a fork before serving. Makes about 2 cups when prepared as directed. Add one or more of the following for an authentic Mediterranean twist: raisins, bell peppers, broccoli, chickpeas, slivered almonds, grilled chicken (if butter or meat is used, recipe is not pareve), lamb (if butter or meat is used, recipe is not pareve), fish or Manischewitz couscous sauce.
