Classic White Bread: 1 bag Schar Classic White Bread Mix (19oz), 2 cups lukewarm water, 1 tsp. vegetable oil, 1 yeast packet (enclosed in mix bag), 1 tsp. salt. Preparation: Use ingredients at room temperature. Stir together contents of the package, salt and yeast. Add the oil and water. Mix the ingredients until a smooth dough is formed. Put the dough in a loaf pan that has been greased and dusted with flour. Smooth out the dough. Cover dough with a damp cloth and leave in a warm place to rise until it has doubled in volume. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place a heat-resistant dish filled with water on the bottom of the oven to provide enough humidity. Bake dough for 50 minutes. Do not open the oven door while baking. Remove loaf from oven and then from pan. Let cool before slicing. As an alternative, a bread machine may also be used with this recipe. Select the basic program (approximately 3.5 hours). Store in a cool, dry place.
