Cooking: In a large saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tbsp butter or margarine (optional) and 1 cup rice. Stir while boiling for one minute. Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to low, cook undisturbed for 18-20 minutes. Fluff and serve.
