Stove Top: 1. In a medium saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 1-1/2 cups (12 oz) of water to a boil. If adding meat, add at this time (For a hearty one-dish meal, add 4-6 oz of any combination of the following: pre-cooked, bite-sized pieces of chicken, pork, or fresh or canned de-veined shrimp at the end of step one). 2. Add 2 tbsp of butter (optional) then 1 package of Vigo Fried Rice, stirring while boiling for 1 minute. 3. Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to simmer and allow to cook undisturbed for 18-20 minutes. Remove from heat (For a more authentic taste, immediately add one beaten egg (or 1/4 cup egg substitute) to cooked rice and stir-fry until egg is cooked). Serve and enjoy.
