Basic Cooking: On the Stove: Rinse in cold water to remove excess starch. In a quart pan, bring 2-1/2 cups of water to a boil. Stir in 1 cup of Village Harvest Brown Jasmine Rice. Cover tightly, reduce heat and simmer for 35 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Remove from heat. Fluff with fork and serve. In the Microwave: Rinse rice in cold water to remove excess starch. Combine 1 cup Village Harvest Brown Jasmine Rice with 2-1/2 cups of water in a microwaveable bowl. Allow mixture to rest for 15 minutes. Microwave at Medium setting for 35 minutes, remove cover and stir. Cover and microwave at Defrost setting for an additional 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Tip: For softer rice, put in more water and simmer for a longer time. For firmer rice, put less water and simmer for a shorter time.
