Stove Top Cooking: Add & Bring to a Boil: 2 c cold water, 1 c rice, 1/2 tsp salt; high heat. Reduce heat, stir cover - 20 minutes; low heat. Remove from heat when all water is absorbed, let sit & fluff; no heat. Microwave: 1. Combine 1 cup of rice 2 cups of water, 1-2 tsp butter or olive oil (optional), and salt to taste, in a microwave safe dish with a cover. 2. Cover and microwave on high power for 6 minutes. Stir. 3. Continue cooking on low power (3 or 30%) for 15 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Let rice rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
